1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Metro Detroit Carpet & Flooring Installation website (metrodetroitcarpet.com) or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services Description

Metro Detroit Carpet & Flooring Installation ("we," "us," or "our") provides flooring sales and installation services including but not limited to:

  • Carpet sales and installation
  • Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) installation
  • Hardwood floor refinishing
  • Laminate flooring installation
  • Commercial flooring services
  • Rental property flooring services

Services are provided in the Metro Detroit, Michigan area including Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.

3. Estimates and Pricing

Free Estimates: We provide free in-home estimates at no obligation. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided unless otherwise stated in writing.

Pricing: All prices are subject to change without notice. The final price for your project will be the amount stated in your written estimate or contract. Additional charges may apply for:

  • Subfloor repairs or preparation beyond normal scope
  • Furniture moving (if not included in estimate)
  • Removal of existing flooring (if not included in estimate)
  • Stairs and custom transitions
  • Unforeseen conditions discovered during installation

Promotional Discounts: Promotional discounts apply to select products and are subject to terms and conditions stated at the time of the promotion. Discounts cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated. See specific promotion terms for complete details.

4. Payment Terms

Residential Customers: Payment terms will be specified in your estimate or contract. We accept major credit cards, checks, and cash. A deposit may be required for custom orders or large projects.

Commercial/Property Management: NET-30 payment terms may be available for approved commercial accounts. Credit approval required. Late payments may be subject to service charges.

5. Installation Warranty

Workmanship Warranty: All installations include a 1-year workmanship warranty from the date of installation. This warranty covers defects in our installation work including:

  • Seam separation due to improper seaming
  • Buckling or wrinkling due to improper stretching
  • Transition strip failures due to improper installation
  • Edge lifting due to improper adhesion

Warranty Exclusions: Our workmanship warranty does NOT cover:

  • Product defects (covered by manufacturer warranty)
  • Damage from accidents, misuse, or abuse
  • Pet damage including stains, odors, or scratching
  • Water damage from flooding, leaks, or spills
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from improper cleaning or maintenance
  • Issues caused by subfloor conditions not visible or disclosed at time of installation
  • Fading or discoloration from sunlight
  • Furniture indentations or marks

Manufacturer Warranties: Flooring products carry separate manufacturer warranties that vary by brand and product. We will provide manufacturer warranty information for your specific products at time of purchase. Manufacturer warranties are administered directly by the manufacturer.

Warranty Claims: To make a warranty claim, contact us at (734) 846-8116 or sales@metrodetroitcarpet.com. We will inspect the issue and, if covered under warranty, repair or correct the problem at no charge. Warranty service does not include replacement of materials unless the issue is directly caused by our installation error.

6. Scheduling and Installation

Next-Day Installation: Next-day installation is available on select in-stock products, subject to product availability, team schedule, and appointment times. Custom orders, hardwood refinishing, extensive floor preparation, and large projects may require additional time.

Customer Responsibilities: Prior to installation, customers are responsible for:

  • Removing small items, décor, and personal belongings from work areas
  • Emptying closets in rooms receiving new flooring
  • Securing pets away from work areas
  • Ensuring clear access to work areas
  • Disclosing known subfloor issues or conditions

Rescheduling and Cancellation: Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule. Custom orders and special-order materials may be non-refundable. Deposits for custom orders may be non-refundable if the order has been placed with our suppliers.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Metro Detroit Carpet & Flooring Installation's liability for any claim arising from our services shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of use or business interruption
  • Damage to items not moved by our team
  • Pre-existing conditions in your home or subfloor
  • Issues arising from customer-supplied materials

8. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern about our work, please contact us first at (734) 846-8116. We are committed to resolving issues promptly and fairly. Most concerns can be addressed through direct communication.

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you agree that any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wayne County, Michigan. Both parties consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

9. Website Use

Accuracy of Information: We strive to provide accurate information on our website. However, product descriptions, images, pricing, and availability are subject to change. Photos may not exactly represent actual products due to variations in monitors and photography.

Calculator and Estimates: The flooring cost calculator on our website provides sample price ranges for illustration purposes only. These are NOT quotes or offers. Actual pricing requires an in-home measurement and assessment.

Third-Party Links: Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these external sites.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Metro Detroit Carpet & Flooring Installation or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes become effective when posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
